The eighth data release of the XMM-Newton serendipitous source catalogue (3XMM-DR8)
The latest version of the XMM-Newton serendipitous source catalogue (3XMM-DR8) has been released on 16th May 2018. It contains source detections drawn from 10242 XMM-Newton EPIC observations, covering an energy interval from 0.2 keV to 12 keV.
These observations were made between 2000 February 3 and 2017 November 30.
The catalogue contains 775153 X-ray detections, being the biggest X-ray catalogue from a single X-ray observatory!
