The Athena mission at the European Researchers’ Night 2019
The Athena Community Office took to the streets of Santander during the European Researchers’ Night.
The citizens learned about the project with multiple activities: the X-ray Integral Field Unit (X-IFU) film projection; a virtual journey on the X-ray Universe; Kahoot games about black holes and X-ray astronomy topics; drawings to be coloured by the kids and even a demonstration to explain the M87 image obtained by the Event Horizon Telescope in April this year.
