The 2025 Athena calendar presents a collage that showcases some of the scientific topics and observations in which NewAthena will provide flagship science in the late 2030s, and many more to come. The high-resolution version of the calendar is available here.

- 2024 Calendar: presents a roadmap of the project with the restart of industrial activities in 2024, the adoption by ESA in 2027 and a planned launch in 2037.
- 2023 Calendar: dedicated to the Athena community for their continued, faithful and tireless support of the mission. This is a mosaic made up of photos received from community members reproducing an artist's impression of an Sgr A* image obtained with XMM-Newton and the Athena mission concept.
- 2022 Calendar: presented an artistic impression of Athena's mission and Sgr A* image obtained with XMM-Newton.
- 2021 Calendar: presented SIXTE simulations of M82 with WFI and A2146 with X-IFU together with an image of the satellite, based on the rendering of the ESA CDF concept created for the Athena/X-IFU film.
- 2020 Calendar: presented a new design, centred on the new satellite image based on the representation of the concept developed by ESA for the CDF and created for the Athena/X-IFU movie.
- 2019 Calendar: included the related dissemination initiatives developed in 2018.
- 2018 Calendar: collected Athena's nuggets.
- 2017 Calendar: collected pictures of the Athena science, instruments, the mission and the ACO.
