SIXTE Workshop 2024

The SIXTE team is happy to announce its next hands-on workshop to be held in person in SRON (Leiden) from 6-8 November 2024. The team will present the new features of the major release of version 3 of SIXTE. Therefore, the workshop is well suited to both experienced and new users. The workshop will focus on simulations for XRISM - Resolve and Xtend - and NewAthena - WFI and X-IFU, as well as other future X-ray missions. Participants will have the opportunity to receive assistance in setting up their own simulations for observation proposals or scientific analysis.

Registration (free fee) is mandatory, the number of participants is limited to 40, and admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Limited travel and accommodation grants are available to early-career researchers.

We encourage all participants to consider travelling by train to help reduce our carbon footprint.
