Athena at European Researchers' Night 2017

Another year Athena was present at the European Researchers' Night, 29th September 2017. This time the activities were focused on the exploration of the Universe at different wavelengths.

Kids enjoyed drawing several black and white images of different celestial objects to be painted in different colors, each one representing one wavelength. The general public had the opportunity to view four astronomical compositions on a board, each of them with two overlaid images of the same celestial object. The upper one was the image observed in optical and the lower one the same image in X-rays. For all ages, we offered an amazing VR walk on the Moon and Mars. All the activities finished with a visit to our Athena photocall.
