Caption: Simulated 20 ks X-IFU spectra of Jupiter including Charge eXchange (CX) emission from the aurorae and coronal type emission from the planet's disk, which acts as a mirror for solar X-rays. The model used in the simulations is derived from XMM-Newton RGS observations in the range 10 - 25 Å with the addition of expected lines of C and S in the range above 25 Å where RGS is not sensitive enough to make a detection (the C and S line fluxes are normalised to the EPIC flux observed in this wavelength range).
Additional comments: The simulation was performed using response files XIFU_CC_BASELINECONF_THINFILTER_2018_10_10.arf considering an exposure time of 20 kilo-second. The model used is published in GBR et al. Astronomy and Astrophysics, Volume 463, Issue 2, February 2007, pp.761-774.
