Each mosaic is made of seven X-IFU pointings of 100ks, each simulated using the instrument end-to-end simulator SIXTE. The image is taken from Cucchetti et al. (2018). Input clusters are taken from large-scale hydrodynamical simulations performed using the GADGET-3 smoothed-particle hydrodynamics code (Cucchetti et al., 2018 and references therein).
